About the Event
Join me on this new and exclusive summer tour, a feast of the imagination. The Ancient Near Eastern feast gets special attention in a new exhibition called The Feast. Using this exhibition, we will explore the connections between royal banquets and feasts in history, in Tanach, and connect them to stories of destruction and redemption that connect to the First and Second Temple periods. This tour is brand new, full of surprises and cool exhibitions, and will be repeating through July and August and possibly beyond. To avoid confusion about timing, location and pricing, please read carefully all of the information below. If you have any further questions, please reach out sooner rather than later. Click here to message me directly on WhatsApp or use the contact form at the bottom of the homepage. If you’re using a mobile phone, you have 3 different options to contact me directly at the bottom of your screen. 10% off your entire order with 5 or more participants per order. To get the coupon code, contact me before you place your order. Then use the coupon at checkout. Museum admission is required.
- Kids up to age 18 are admission-free on Tuesdays and during August in the Israel Museum. Otherwise, I recommend purchasing tickets on the Israel Museum website, which will save you time. You will not need to wait in line, rather scan the receipt that is sent to your email, on your mobile phone (or print it), and enter from the turnstile.
- The tour is about 75 minutes long, and involved walking around. Please make sure you have comfortable shoes, water, and good spirits. Strollers and toddlers can be managed during this tour, and parents are responsible for moving them around and for toddlers’ behavior. They can tag along but the tour is geared towards the older kids.
- If you need a folding chair, they have them in the museum under the main gallery entrance, you will probably need to deposit your ID until you return the chairs. If you need/are using a wheelchair, you must let me know in advance so I can be prepared and adjust.
- Getting to the Israel Museum with public transportation is very easy, there are many buses that have a stop outside the museum and you can plan with the Moovit app or Google Maps. If you want to park in the museum free lot, please be aware that there is a lot of traffic in the city on Pesach, and the museum will probably be crowded with little or no available spots. Please plan your time ahead to make sure you can begin the tour on time and we can all end on time with the museum's 5pm closing. Thank you for your consideration!
