About the Event
Have you heard about the new synagogue discovered in Russia? Well, not really new. Old.
One of the oldest synagogues in the world, from the Second Temple era. And yet it resembles some synagogues found in Israel hundreds of years later. What do these synagogues have in common with our lives today?
The Holidays of Tishrei play a hidden role in ancient synagogues and Jewish art around the world. This virtual tour is a taste of that exciting world. We will explore themes and visit archaeological sites and museum artifacts around the world. It's almost Rosh Hashanah 5784 and from there it's a stampead through Simchat Torah. Nonstop holidays. Let's take some time to prepare and think about these days as they approach, so we meet them with a better understanding of their role in Jewish History. This is the first virtual tour in a series of public virtual tours that will be running this year. We will discuss the program during this session, and I will provide you with helpful and simple information to help you keep track, whatever digital platforms work better for you. When you sign up, you will receive this information via email. The full schedule and website events are currently being set up so if they do not appear yet, check in again in a week. Thank you for your patience!
