Homeschool (HEBREW) - The Two Shimons in the Cave - The Stories of Lag Ba'Omer

Lag Ba’Omer is a festivity with two sides. The side of the spirit – and the story of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, and the side of the sword – and the story of Shimon bar Kokhba. Both hid in a cave, both were students of Rabbi Akiva, and both made a profound impact on the future of Israel.

About the Event

Why do we light bonfired on Lag Ba'Omer? Why do we use a bow and arrow?

There are answers rooted in agriculture, in the Bar Kokhba Revolt, and in the death of Rabbi Shimon Bar-Yochai. Enter the cave with me as we explore these fascinating stories, which involve the greatest revolt in Jewish History, and a profound change in the way we relate to observing Mitzvot.

Schedule is listed in Israeli Time.
